The teenage girl should immediately go and visit a doctor. Although it may be a frightening to tell a parent about the pregnancy, it is imperative to visit a doctor, who is bound by medical ethics not to divulge any information about a patient. The doctor will check the girl and ensure that there are no complications in the pregnancy. In addition, he or she may also give the teenage girl options on how to proceed with the pregnancy.

Generally, there are just 3 options available. A girl can have the baby and then raise it herself; she can have the baby and then give it up for adoption; or she can have an abortion.
