Why Do Bullies Bully ?

There are several bullies if you look around in the world today. Most bullies are made because of the circumstances. Children develop behavior problems when conditions at home are not good. They may see their parents or siblings behaving in such a manner, and that is why even they resort to bullying. There are several reasons as to why a child turns into a bully.

Parents find it very amusing when their toddler is bullying everyone at the local park. However, the same nature may become a big problem as the child grows up. Most children pick up behavior patterns from their parents at a young age.

Another reason why children turn into bullies is because they want to attract attention. Children who do not get adequate attention often turn into bullies outside their house. Also if a child’s parents are too strict, it might actually develop conflicting behavior patterns in them. They may be timid at home, and be bullies outside. If the child is given attention in a positive way, then they could stop bullying others.

The only way to stop children from bullying is to correct them when they are bossy. Being assertive is the only way out. If you try to bully back or fight it with violence, you will never know what the outcome will be. You may turn the bully into a bigger monster or get hurt in the process. You should view bullying as a symptom of weakness, and you should show strength by being assertive in a calm and composed way.
