As a first time parent, you will need several tips to bring up your child. You should know what to expect right from the time the baby is born. If you are not prepared, then the whole experience could be tiresome and overwhelming for you. That is why it is important to read about babies and know more about them.
If you are all alone with a child and it is just the both of you, then consider hiring some help with your baby. You may need additional hands to bathe the baby or help you dress the baby up. Remember that you are recovering yourself after the delivery of the baby. You may recruit help at the hospital or at home.
Your newborn baby is very fragile. So give some time to yourself in learning how to handle the baby. Make sure you do not handle the baby with sudden jerky movements. Be gentle and as slow as possible. Whenever you pick up the baby make sure you give head support. It takes at least 45 days or two months for the baby’s head to stand without support. Never shake up your newborn because it will startle them very badly.
When you are taking your baby outdoors in a baby stroller or baby bag, make sure the straps are stead fast.
Do not tickle the baby too much or throw up high in the air. They are just not ready yet for rough play. Be extremely gentle while taking out clothes or putting them on.
