Men should give importance to prostate health condition. If men neglect to keep a watch on their prostate health condition, they may die of prostate cancer. Cancer of the prostate is the second main cause of cancer death in American men. Many men in Canada also die due to prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer can be hereditary but it is not always hereditary. The lifestyle of a person can also lead to prostate cancer. The food taken should be of minerals and vitamins which keep a man healthy and this can help in keeping the prostate in a good condition.

Besides taking a good amount of minerals and vitamins, men should also go for a PSA test check up every year. These tests will not cause any pain and they are only for a short period of time. But do not depend on the PSA tests because they may not be correct always.

There are some symptoms which indicate prostate cancer, but it may not always be cancerous. It may also be due to the enlargement of prostate which is called BPH. If there is blood in the urine, if the urine stream is weaker or smaller than normal, if the urination is frequent with small amounts, if the urination causes pain, if the bladder is not emptied fully, if there is any problem to begin urination, and pain during ejaculation, it can be an indication of prostate cancer.
