Cause And Effect Of Obesity

Obesity is caused when the person eats more than required and does not perform any exercise to burn those extra calories that are consumed. We have to control the amount of food we eat and it is better to say no when huge amount of food is being offered.

There are many other reasons which increase the obesity levels in a person. Try to read the label before you buy any food. It has fat which is hydrogenated, saturated, polyunsaturated, monounsaturated. See whether these fats are good for you or not. Some countries have begun regulation for labeling the food; it gives the information about the ingredients present in the food, but is not definite.

Educating people is one of the remedy for obesity. But to educate all the people in a nation is costly affair and nobody will be ready to contribute to educate in this matter. It is the responsibility of the government to introduce the dietary sessions in the schools as the obesity problem actually begins at school level and continues into adulthood.

As the western world is experiencing obesity due to excess of food available and the lack of health education, the third world countries are suffering from malnutrition and scarcity of food.

The society has failed to tackle the problem of obesity. Fashion has given clothes to fit huge bodies. The clothes may be easier to accommodate, but the health condition diminishes. As the obesity increases people may suffer from type 2 diabetes, colon cancer, strokes, renal failure, heart disease and elevated blood pressure.

If you are obese, it is important that you first accept this fact. Only then will you be able to proceed with a cure for it. Obesity is a disease and the cause and effect of obesity lies in our own hands. Slight alternation in our lifestyles will go a long way in curing this disease.
