Pomegranite Juice Used For Erectile Disfunction

Erectile dysfunction is a condition that plagues millions of men every year. Statistics show that in the US alone, there are around eighteen million men affected by this condition.

In February 2007, Johns Hopkins’ Bloomberg School of Public Health conducted a study that revealed that roughly one in every five men has experienced erectile dysfunction at some point of time in his life. Though there are a number of prescription drugs available in the market today that is said to benefit those suffering from erectile dysfunction, most experts suggest and lifestyle changes easy natural remedies for treating this condition, and drinking pomegranate juice is one of them. With already proven results when it comes to ailments like cancer, diabetes, heart diseases, sore throat, gastrointestinal problems and ulcers, pomegranate juice has also proven quite effective in correcting erectile dysfunction.

The International Journal of Impotence Research had published a study that showed that eight ounces of hundred percent pomegranate juice taken on a daily basis was helpful in curing this condition. These results were based on a test conducted on 61 men with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction. For a few weeks, half the men were made to drink pomegranate juice, while a placebo was given to the other half. The study concluded with 47 seven percent men reporting an improvement in their condition, after regularly drinking pomegranate juice.

This initial study and its positive results later led to more such successful studies on the effect of pomegranate juice on those suffering from erectile dysfunction, for longer periods of time and with larger group sizes.
