Studies associated with records of circumcision in the United States highlight that in the year 1975; approximately 93 percent of the male children were subjected to circumcision. Records also show incidence of infection of the urinary tract is higher among one year old boys who are uncircumcised in comparison to boys who are circumcised. Around one out of hundred boys who are uncircumcised tend to get infection of the urinary tract.

Many feel that circumcision also has a positive affect on sexuality. Aspects of hygiene are easier to tackle as lack of foreskin makes cleaning far simpler. Chances of bad odor or infection due to the accumulation of material in the folds of the skin are also lesser. Many women derive greater sexual pleasure with a circumcised or an uncovered penis. Lastly, circumcised men seem to fit well into condoms in contrast to those with the foreskin intact.
