Teenage years are very delicate years for a boy or girl. Children are going through several physical and emotional changes, and are extremely volatile to negative circumstances. They constantly look for the qualities they like in their father in other men of their age. These qualities can be good or bad.

Girls may not necessarily get attracted to bad qualities but they may still suffer from them. For example, if a girl child has had an abusive and bossy father, they might have hated it. However, if they find the same qualities in their life partner, they might still suffer the brunt of abusiveness for the rest of their life instead of walking out. That is why for a healthy upbringing, the girl should have the positive influence of her father.

A popular research also shows that when a father is involved in the teenage girl’s studies and activities, she is less likely to get into bad habits, less likely to get into sexual relationships at an early age, and also do academically well in school. Therefore, it is a must for a father to be involved in his teenage daughter's life.
