How To Be A Teenage Father ?

The daughter will look up to the father, and form her impressions about the male gender. During this age how the father treats the mother also makes a big impact on the child. This is a crucial age and impression made during this age will last for the rest of their life time. Every woman has fixed notions of the male gender, and most of it comes from their father. Also, girls undoubtedly expect their life partner to be like their father. They are attracted to similar characteristics psychologically.

However, becoming a father as a teenager changes the whole ball game basically. Teenage period is an irresponsible age, and becoming a father would mean taking immense responsibility. Whether a teenager has the mental preparedness and capabilities to take over such responsibilities are doubtful. Most teenagers, when they are faced with the choice of keeping the child or giving up for adoption, are often confused. The delicate age at that time puts them at cross roads. Most teenagers make a conscious decision not to give the baby up for adoption or put them in the care of foster homes.

At that age, your priority should be graduating from high school and college. Caring for a child is expensive, and with proper education, you will be able to fulfill the needs of the child.

If the teenager has supportive parents who are willing to take over the responsibility, and bring up their grandchild, it changes the equation a bit. Bringing up a child as a teenage father otherwise could be very difficult. Parents of such children are strongly suggested to help their children decide by showing them the right thing to do.
