Father’s absence increases the risks of pregnancy for their daughters, and this is a statistically proven fact. Men, who leave their home when the daughters are too young, set a bad example for them while they are growing up. This affects them at multiple levels. One is every girl needs the father to have a healthy upbringing. A father can be a very strong influence on the future of the girl child, and also how she thinks. |
Most girls, at a certain age, start missing their fathers and blame their mothers for not having a father. At this age, the possibilities are high that they start seeing other boys and also grown up men. Relationships that lead to sex can cause early pregnancies when the girl is not even ready emotionally or physically to accept the responsibilities of motherhood.
Other reasons driving them towards sexual relationships can be poverty, financial freedom, and also lack of home environment. Girls, who do not have a father at home, will not understand the value of commitment in a relationship, and also they do not have a firm concept of a complete family. The same is the case in broken families also.
When a child sees the father leaving the house, it has a deep negative impact on their psyche to the extent that they do not value marriage and committed relationships. They look at sex as an outlet for their frustrations. Girls from such homes also tend to have relationships with much older men as subconsciously they are looking for a father figure. The chances of pregnancy are very high in such relationships.
