A child’s life is full of milestones, and reaching these milestones determines that they are growing healthily and have no problems. A toddler is a child who is between 2 and 4 years of age. Children at this age develop in stages, and each stage is different and unique from the other. |
From one year to 18 months, your child is expected to be walking or standing at least. They can babble a lot and at this age, and are very restless. You can find them all over the place and they are also explorative by nature. They will grab everything they find and put it in their mouth. A child also throws tantrums at this age. They also show independence and insist on doing what they want.
From 18 months to 24 months, a child is becoming more independent. They are entering what is called the terrible two’s age. They are more adamant and insist on doing things on their own like eating and holding their own toys. Some kids have a huge vocabulary and can communicate clearly. Other kids will still communicate using sign language. At this age, the more you talk to them, the more they will learn.
From two to three years, children are very difficult to handle. Mostly you will find them imitating what they see at home. They love outdoors and also show problem solving capabilities. Their eating habits also change, and they seem to be choosier about their food.
From three to four years, they are extremely curious and asking a lot of questions. They are friendlier, and will also have their own friends at school.
