Simple Preschool Games

Preschool should be full of fun, activity and learning at the same time. It is very difficult to teach children of that age without having fun. Children get very bored and then they start doing their own thing. Preschool children need personal attention, and are not capable of learning things on their own.

Learning at school should be aimed at a specific pattern and at the end of the class, the student should have learned some type of formative lesson. For example, you are doing a math-based activity so that children can learn to identify numbers.

There are several ways to teach the child numbers and it need not be through writing only. There are hundreds of preschooler activities that you can teach to children to help them learn various things. At this age, children love animals and know most of their names. You can teach them numbers and alphabets using animal pictures. A game called Animal Safari could include the names of animals and pictures and kids could match them both.

There is so many more like count the same animals, animal puzzles and other brain stimulating activities. You can also get them to learn the name of a new animal. However, having all activities based on animals could get monotonous again. So use other things like food items, or colors and mix them up.

Montessori system has some really nice ideas for teaching children at this age. The Montessori method uses special wooden equipment and you can also do the same.
