Shopping List For A Newborn Baby

All parents are excited about buying various things for their new arrival, and that is their baby. First time parents especially spend a lot of decorating the cribs and the nurseries. So many people actually get confused about what to buy and what not. If you go unprepared to a baby store, you may end up buying a lot of stuff the baby does not need and is not going to use.

Before stepping out on your shopping trip make a list. Segregate the list into needs, must haves and comforts. First buy the must haves, then the needs and give last preference to the luxuries. For example, babies do not need soft toys. What will a newborn do with so many toys? Just one or two are enough.

Here is a list of some things you can consider buying for your newborn.

• Some of the new born needs are:
• Crib
• Blankets, about two to three of them are enough
• Warm clothes in different sizes from newborn to 3 months old, or more. Babies tend to kick the blankets as they grow up.
• Couple of towels
• Medicine kit
• First aid kit that also has a safety nail clipper
• 10 pairs of vests or one piece suits. It is best to dress up a baby in layers to keep them warm.
• Plenty of socks to keep their feet warm.
• Feeding bottles
• Sterilizer
• Bottle warmer
• Baby bag
• Several of these things can be minimized. But when you go out, you also need to be equally prepared with the baby’s stuff.
