Newborns Eye Color Change

When a baby is born, their features are not very clear. They will change within a month of being born. They look extremely delicate, but as they grow up, their features become more prominent and they start having their own individual identification. Some babies are born with curly hair and that changes as they are growing up. Some babies are born with colored eyes and then they start toning down to black or brown as they grow up. These changes are normal in a baby.

After making sure whether it is a boy or a girl, the eye color is the first thing that every parent notices. However, the baby’s eye color is defined by the genes he or she is carrying. The permanent color of their eyes cannot be determined as soon as they are born. Nonetheless, you can compare the color of the eyes to the grandparents, uncles or aunts in the family to draw similarities.

However, one should know that eyes are among the last of the body parts to develop. In a newborn baby, the eyes are not fully developed. In case the baby is a premature, then he or she cannot even open them completely.

In the beginning, the baby’s eyesight is quite blurry. They do not even see colors and everything is a black and white image for them. They can see things only at a distance and if someone is standing too close to them, they will barely notice. Babies identify their mother in the first few months by the smell and not by face.
