Sensory stimulation plays an important role in the brain development of the child. The more a baby’s sensory perceptions are stimulated the more rapidly the baby’s brain will grow. There are several sensory activities to stimulate the brain growth in a child.
Touch is a sensory perception. You can give your child various textures of cloth, things to touch and feel. When a baby touches something, they also understand about the thing. A good massage after a bath also helps to increase the sensory perception in a child.
Sound is another sensory perception. You can expose your child to music and even if they are distracted, they still learn to recognize various kinds of tones and voices. However, do not expose your child to loud sounds as it can be annoying for them or cause damage to their delicate ears. Music also is known to increase the intelligence in a child.
Sight is also a sensory perception. By giving a lot of colorful toys and books to your child, you are stimulating their senses in two ways, namely through sight and touch.
