Infant Autism Symptoms

Autism is a complicated disease. Infants develop this at any age, and even after they grow up into kids. However, the symptoms of autism are quite difficult to recognize in infancy. If your child is growing slowly and developing in a delayed fashion, then you should consult the doctor to check for symptoms. Some kids start showing symptoms when they are 18 months old.

Children who have autism display some common symptoms like behavior patterns. Babies usually have a habit of looking into a person’s eye when they are talking to them. However, children, who have autism, will not make eye contact with anyone, especially strangers. You can notice this even in a baby. However, when it comes to an infant, it is difficult to tell if they have autism or they are simply not interested.

Autistic children are usually holed up in their own world. They do not show any interest in people around them or things around them. Even if parents or people, who take care of them, are talking to them, they ignore them. Babies with autism have difficulty with identifying differences. Also, they usually repeat the same thing over and over again. This also includes repetitive movements. Children with this condition usually are violent and have outbursts.

However, even if all these symptoms are present, it does not confirm autism in a child but only indicates it. By paying attention to signs, parents and doctors can help the child grow up in a better and secure manner.
