Army Regulation For Paternity Leave
According to the rules and regulations of the United States Army, paternity leave is only allowed to a soldier who is legally married, and has fathered a child. If he is on active duty, active guard or reserve he can claim paternity leave. It is also a non-chargeable form of leave. Paternity leave cannot be claimed by soldiers who are fathering a child out of wedlock.
